DEF METAL
Intro death growl: August
Bass! How low can you go?
Abolish the rules made of stone
On leather steeds they ride
It’s tricky to rock a rhyme
And slay some innocent fool
Sipping on gin and juice
Into the crypts of rays
Yo, Dre, I got somethin’ to say
Something Italian by Marco
Carcass, Megadeth, A Tribe Called Quest
And Wu-Tang Clan and Exodus
Boogie Down Productions, Agent Steel
And Death Angel and Cypress Hill
Nuclear Assault, LL Cool J
And Metal Church… NWA
HEY! HEY! HEY! Let’s go!
It’s funky, it’s heavy, you better get ready, there’s no need to fear cuz DEF METAL is here to stay!
Hit The Lights, I Like Big Butts, U Can’t Touch This, Raining Blood
Ghostface Killah… Sepultura… Queen Latifah… DOOM (August)

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu

Quite a departure from the wild territories they ventured into with their major label releases. So far, the greatest thrash metal I've heard released in the 2020's. Plus, it's not everyday you hear Rhea Perlman on a metal record. t0cktock

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
